Burst Statistics across multiple WordPress sites
Connect Burst Statistics Free to a multi-site WordPress analytics dashboard. Understand supported traffic reports, session counting, and engagement metrics.
UpdatedYour Burst Statistics sites in one view
Use Independence Hub to review Burst Statistics traffic across your WordPress sites without opening every WordPress admin. The integration supports Burst Statistics Free, with Free 3.7.4 as the compatibility baseline. Burst Pro-specific reports are outside this integration.
Reports you can bring into your Hub
Burst period sessions count session starts. Daily session points count sessions with a hit on that day, so adding the daily points can produce a different figure from the period total. Duration uses recorded page time per session. These retain Burst’s definitions rather than estimating Independent Analytics equivalents. Reports use the WordPress site’s local calendar dates.
- Page views, visitors, sessions, and daily traffic.
- Recorded page time per session, session bounce flags, and new versus returning session flags.
- Top pages, referrers, countries, and devices in detailed reports.
Connect a Burst Statistics site
- Create a free Hub account and verify your email. In the Hub, choose Add site and enter the HTTPS URL of a WordPress site you administer.
- Install and activate the current Independence Hub Connector alongside Burst Statistics. The connector requires WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 8.0 or later.
- Return to the Hub and choose Step 2: Connect this site. Sign in to WordPress as an administrator, review the Hub account, select Burst Statistics, and approve.
- Return to Dashboard, choose a reporting range, and check the overview. For an existing connected site, use Manage analytics plugins in its three-dot menu to approve an additional source.
Investigate a change in Burst traffic
Use 7, 28, 30, or 90 days consistently across your review. A site can approve several supported plugins, but its reports stay source-specific. The dashboard uses one selected source per site rather than adding overlapping traffic together.
- Select Burst Statistics on the site card and choose a reporting range.
- Review the traffic change against the immediately preceding equivalent period. Check the same dates in Burst when comparing figures.
- With Unlimited, open the detailed report to inspect pages, referrers, and engagement. Treat each metric according to Burst’s counting rules.
- Save a Burst-specific watchlist rule in Growth if you want to follow that site. Its saved source stays Burst even if you later switch the dashboard card.
