Getting started

Create your account, connect your first WordPress site, and find your way around the Hub.

Updated

What you need

Independence Hub brings the Independent Analytics reports from your WordPress sites into one private account. Independent Analytics collects the traffic on each site; the Independence Hub Connector lets the Hub read its reports.

  • A WordPress site you can administer, running WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 8.0 or later.
  • Independent Analytics installed and active on that site.
  • The free Independence Hub Connector plugin, installed on each site you want to connect.
  • An email address you can access to verify your Hub account.

From signup to your first overview

  1. Create a Hub account with your name, email address, and a password of at least 12 characters.
  2. Open the verification email and follow its link. Once your email is verified, sign in to the Hub.
  3. Choose Add site and enter your WordPress site URL, including https://.
  4. Install and activate the connector on that WordPress site, then return to the Hub and choose Step 2: Connect this site.
  5. Sign in to WordPress as an administrator if prompted. Review and approve the connection, then wait to return to the Hub.
  6. On Dashboard, choose a reporting range and review the traffic overview. Repeat Add site for your other sites.
