Independent Analytics across multiple WordPress sites

View Independent Analytics across multiple WordPress sites in one dashboard. Connect your sites, compare traffic, and explore supported reports.

Updated

Your Independent Analytics sites in one view

If several of your WordPress sites use Independent Analytics, bring their reports into Independence Hub to review them together. Choose the sites that belong in your review, compare the same reporting range, and open a detailed report when a change needs a closer look.

Reports you can bring into your Hub

The Hub reads Independent Analytics’ aggregate reports and preserves its metric definitions. It does not expose visitor-level records or add tracking. The connector needs access to the plugin’s supported reporting classes and tables; an unavailable dependency is a connection problem to resolve, rather than a zero-traffic result.

  • Page views, visitors, sessions, and daily traffic.
  • Session duration, bounce rate, and new versus returning sessions.
  • Top pages, referrers, countries, and devices in detailed reports.

Connect a Independent Analytics site

  1. Create a free Hub account and verify your email. In the Hub, choose Add site and enter the HTTPS URL of a WordPress site you administer.
  2. Install and activate the current Independence Hub Connector alongside Independent Analytics. The connector requires WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 8.0 or later.
  3. Return to the Hub and choose Step 2: Connect this site. Sign in to WordPress as an administrator, review the Hub account, select Independent Analytics, and approve.
  4. Return to Dashboard, choose a reporting range, and check the overview. For an existing connected site, use Manage analytics plugins in its three-dot menu to approve an additional source.

Find the site behind a portfolio change

Use 7, 28, 30, or 90 days consistently across your review. A site can approve several supported plugins, but its reports stay source-specific. The dashboard uses one selected source per site rather than adding overlapping traffic together.

  1. Choose 28 days on Dashboard and review the combined traffic trend.
  2. Use By site to see individual trends, or change the chart’s site selection to isolate a site’s contribution.
  3. Compare the site with its own preceding 28 days. With Unlimited, open its title to inspect top pages and referrers.
  4. Save a Growth target for the metric you want to improve and record a campaign or launch in the Impact journal. A before/after change is a clue to investigate, not proof of cause.
